Who am I?

I ask the same question. Every question, challenge, or situation requires different responses. Design firms love to reassure clients with their “missions” such as sustainability, community, or their bottom-line. Singular visions are made in bad faith and generate monotonous work. This firm dives into each project with questions that lead to the nothingness and arbitrariness of activity only to come out on the other side with a positive yet self-aware solution.

Something strange, something with kOoK.

About the Partner:

kOoK derives from the founder’s last name - Cook - and is defined as an oddity or an eccentric. His work garners a similar reaction to his public self: an awkward laugh, a second look after realizing, a quizzical expression. Work that takes itself very seriously yet sees deeply entrenched values as play-things (like capitalization). The two o’s which give the firm’s name its visual depth resemble his favorite pair of crooked glasses.

To show an abstract version of the firm's design vision, this subtle shift provides that design tension.
